hesitation turned momentum

Started the day tired, and before I could even think about riding, my rear tire went flat. Got it vulcanized and stood at the door looking at my bike, wondering if I should just call it. But something said just pedal—even if it’s the slowest gear.

So I pedaled.

The headwind didn’t help, and my legs definitely felt the weight of the day. But somewhere between San Antonio and the Mayon Crossing, fatigue stopped being an excuse and became just another gear to shift through. Slow is still forward.

Finished with 20km, 251m of climbing, and 6 personal records. Silver on the Crossing Mayon downhill. Turns out the best rides aren’t always the ones you’re excited to start—sometimes they’re the ones you almost skip.
